3 ways to work with the full moon in Aries for action-oriented results and healing

This full moon at 24 degrees Aries is going to feel like a sweep of intensely activating and motivating energy compared to the heavier vibe we’ve been experiencing through eclipse season and from the eclipses.

While this is a welcome boost after all of the emotions, ups and downs and disruptions from eclipse season, keep in mind that the full moon is not only in Aries, a fiery action-oriented sign, but it’s also conjunct the North Node, a point in the sky that encourages striving, making an effort and overdoing it. (This full moon isn’t an eclipse because the moon and North Node are too far away from one another. The North Node is at 5 degrees Aries).

The caution of leaping too quickly, burning out, or becoming heated and frustrated is a real possibility, it’s definitely something to keep in mind but there’s also another undertone–Chiron, the minor plant, known as the Wounded Healer, is also conjunct the full moon, sitting close at 21 degrees Aries. Chiron helps you to uncover pain points, and develop holistic understanding and healing within yourself.

Mars at 22 degrees Cancer is the ruler of this full moon and is also square the full moon. This can create emotional tension and irritation, you could become defensive or protective of yourself or others in a situation, this could also create some mixed feelings about being or staying motivated.

With the full moon in Aries conjunct Chiron and the North Node square Mars, your bold and courageous determination and fiery feelings are intensified but also become an opportunity for discomfort that can lead to healing and a wider understanding of how your healing is connected to a situation, experience or relationship.

Find where you have Aries and Cancer in your birth chart and then try the tips and suggestions below. Use my zodiac sign and house references to understand what topics and themes are being activated in your life with the full moon.

Here are 3 ways to intentionally work with the activating and healing energy of this full moon:

  • Take action: Identify the topics and themes of the house you have Aries in. How has this area of your life been receiving a lot of your attention lately? What obstacles have you been facing? Consider what you can do to create forward momentum in this area of your life and how you can overcome any challenges you’ve been experiencing. Write down one action you can take to get things going that requires you to be bold and courageous.

  • Plan ahead: Review the topics and themes of the house you Cancer in. Those house topics and themes are going to be related to how you experience the frustration, discomfort or irritation from the Moon squaring Mars. How could you imagine your Aries house and Cancer house being in conversation or energetic exchange with one another?

For example, I’m Cancer Rising and have Aries in my 10th house. I suspect I’m going to be experiencing something frustrating or feeling uncomfortable about a situation that is related to my business and my identity and sense of self. Bringing awareness to potential situations or experiences allows you to be more mindful as things pop up so you can practice patience and consider how you may react should something uncomfortable happen.

  • Reflect: Consider the topics and themes of the house you have Aries in. How have you been experiencing painful moments, healing or reconciling within yourself in this area of life lately? What brave action can you take that could bring you healing? Is there something you could be humble about? Where do you need to soften hard edges? Or do you need to be more assertive?

By reflecting on the different areas of your birth chart that are being activated by the full moon in Aries, you get a far more holistic view of how the current astrology could manifest itself in your life. While there are a myriad of ways this could happen, when you practice astrology the subtle nuances of your life start to be more interconnected. The events in your life start to make more sense (not that they are all desired, but that they aren’t as random as you once thought).

Overall, I’m feeling like this full moon is going to bring attention to a mistake we have made or even possibly give us time to prevent the mistake from happening in the first place. There is tenderness here. We just need to allow it to take up some space while we make other plans. It’s an opportunity to feel driven and create momentum while also reminding us to hangback to better understand what we need to feel whole and how we can create spaciousness around that.
